Looks quite desolate from the road, but get a little closer:
tiny wildflowers are easy to
overlook.
In May there is still enough moisture
to nurture these beauties,
but by July it will be bone dry.
Some wildflowers that bloom in that arroyo in the Atacama
Desert
in March - May include interesting genera Cristaria,
Fagonia,
Hoffmanseggia, Cuscuta, and Gilia,
amongst
others.
